| The Product

The Bestcare BestMove STA400 Standing Up Transfer Aid 400lb is the best stand assist in the market. It is NOT a patient lift but a standing transfer aid. The transfer process for the patient is quick, easy, and requires little from the caregiver. This gives a convenient alternative to the wheelchair. 

 

| Using the Product

The BestMove STA400 uses the Raising Belt (TS30760) which ensures safe transfer of the patients from a sitting position to a standing as well as from a standing position to a sitting position. Patients must be able to bear most if not all of their weight in order to use this transfer aid.

    A game changer

    Great Company!

    I had to unfortunately return this product due to the patient becoming a hospice situation. However the company and Tamara in particular gave me the best service I have received in a LONG time! So even though I cannot review the product (but it looks like it would have been great for our needs at the time.) I would like to give top marks for understanding and service! Both my wife and I REALLY appreciated this at a very difficult time.

We offer FREE Standard Shipping on all products shipped to the United States. Most products will arrive within 3-5 business days after they have been shipped and tracking number will be provided for every order.

 

| Other Shipping

If you are in need of Overnight or 2-Day Shipping to receive your product, we have these options available for everyone at checkout. These are live and accurate shipping rates to save you money and save us time. Please be aware that 2-Day Shipping may not be available for every location.

 

| International Shipping

As of 2021, we are able to ship internationally for most lightweight items, but due to the limitation from some manufacturers, we enable this per order. Please reach out if you are shipping internationally so we can help you out. 

For large products, such as patient lifts, that are over 20lbs, we do not provide shipping at all.

For smaller products, such as slings or parts, that are under 20lbs, we provide live and accurate international shipping rates available for you to pick from during checkout.

Returns and Exchanges

Our return policy generally lasts 30 days from your order ship date, though certain manufacturers may require a shorter return period. Please note that patient lifts are not eligible for return unless the incorrect lift was shipped by the manufacturer or the product arrives significantly damaged or defective. If you are requesting a return past our policy, unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund or exchange.

 

If we, Dansons Medical, or any of our vendors, have made an error on your order, your order will be fixed at no expense to you. In the event your order arrives significantly defective, damaged, or incorrect, we will provide a return shipping label and issue a full refund. For other return requests, return shipping costs may be covered as a discount code applied on top of your refund. We strive to provide the best service to our customers, so feel free to contact us if anything goes wrong!

 

Manufacturers with less than 30 days return policy:

  • Karman Healthcare - return must be within 14 days of shipping.

In response to patient being fearful to use the device

I am a PT who is researching this for a patient. My suggestion to the people who are caring for someone who is reluctant to use a new device is to ask your doctor for a Home Health PT or OT evaluation. Most insurances will cover this if there is a documented need in the doctor notes (during a face to face or virtual visit), and a prescription. This can be justified by improving patient safety, increasing mobility, preventing pressure sores. Sometimes a referral can be for "safety assessment using new equipment" or "caregiver training." This may take one visit but more likely a few visits to build confidence and get the patient to accept something new.

Such a clever device!

Sturdy, well-designed, does the intended job. It is easy for me (age 84) to operate for my husband (88), although he is much heavier than I. We both find it considerably easier to make a transfer with this device than with his walker.
Prior to my purchase, Best Care informed me by phone that the device would roll smoothly on carpet (except shag carpet). However, I have found it very difficult to move it on carpet when empty, and nearly impossible to do so with my husband on it. When I placed a plastic "desk chair pad" over the carpet, it greatly eased the movement of the device. I wonder if you offer "carpet casters"? Of course, it rolls smoothly on tile or hardwood floors.
The wheels fit easily under our bed, and around the toilet, but their width apart is about 1" too wide for the front wheels of the wheelchair to straddle them. We accommodate this by having my husband step onto the floor when getting on or off the transfer assist device rather than being able to make a direct transfer.

Great product, stubborn patient

The product is great, but trying to get my mother on it, it's something else. When she says no, it's no. It would be so great if she would accept it, it would help both us so much.
