If you cover your thumbs over the actual Button you notice is the arrows one pointing out one pointing in. One would think the one pointing out would be recline, the one pointing in would be to pull it back in but it's the opposite you actually have to look at the button themselfs which one says recline and the other upright underneath. I'm sorry I understand what you're doing, you're thinking upright means up but at first glance you see the arrows. try swapping them I think it's a better deal, just the arrows. I've heard others in the infusion lab complain about that and I found it be a simple solution. Most people don't read they just look for the cues. arrows are backwards! This is a fun one. We were excited to receive this lift for my son who is rehabilitating from neurosurgery to help him transfer in and out of bed. However, upon assembling the equipment and charging the battery the battery would not charge. After contacting technical support who had us check many steps in the process of charging the battery we were told the battery was drained and a new battery will be shipped to us. Although disappointed we could not use the stand assist right away we looked forward to getting the new battery. Four days later we received the new battery, and I was pleased that the packing slip noted the battery was tested before shipping. The stand assist works great and much less stress on our backs to help my son in and out of bed. Juls(technical support person) was very helpful.

My husband had a stroke and lived in a private care facility for over a year before I was able to move him back home with me. They had a large lift device so I was familiar with the equipment; however, those large devices would not work in our home. My husband weighs about 160lbs and after researching online, I discovered this smaller SA350 Electric lift and it has allowed me to transfer him without help from caregivers. I still have caregivers come to our home but only for 8 hours a day. The rest of the time it is just my husband and myself. My back, shoulder and hip were all aching from transferring him on my own. This lift is compact, easy to use, maneuvers easily through our doorways, and has made my life so much better. My back and hip have stopped hurting and my shoulder is getting better every day. I contacted customer service because the handlebar was wobbling. A friend had assembled the unit for us. They asked for a video and after reviewing it they pointed out washers on the bar were improperly installed. Once we corrected that issue, the unit worked perfectly. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. And it was on sale!
